DRIVERS have been blown away by this TikTok video that shows how we’ve all been doing it wrong when it comes to parking.
bigbruvva_77 uploaded the video which has now been watched by more than 7.2 million people on the social media channel.

He kicks off the video saying: “what if I told y’all we’ve been parking in parking spots wrong the whole time” while walking through a large car park.
He goes on: “This is where we pick up GM trucks at, look how they’re parked, they’re parked on the line.”
The video shows how every car in the car park is parked hard up against the lefthand line of the parking bay rather than centrally.
bigbruvva_77 continues: “Can you see how evenly spaced they are? Imagine if everybody at Walmart parked on the line.”

The video shows a large gap left the right of each car allowing the driver plenty of room to open the door and jump in.
This being the US, the driver’s side of the car is on the left hand side.
bigbruvva_77 says: “it would lessen the amount of dings and give you space to get in and out of your car.
“We’ve been doing it wrong the whole time y’all.”

However, people in the comments were quick to point out that this parking hack might not be quite so clever.
raducristian368 commented: “you do realize that if all of them would be in the middle, it will be the same space…”
ryanwg02 pointed out: “That works great when everybody is good at parking and vehicles are all a uniform width.”
And mojosupbro mocked: “What if I told y’all that if they all parked in the middle there would be the same distance between them.”
