EXPERTS have revealed the cheapest electric cars to run – and the prices will leave you stunned.
With search queries for the differing costs per mile of electric cars up 300% – it feels like an exodus to electric motors really is in the air.

Brits are now paying record prices for for a fill up – so it is no wonder many are considering switching to an electric vehicle for their next car.
And with electricity prices as low as 6.3p per mile on some models – who wouldn’t be tempted to ditch the soaring costs of their gas guzzlers?
To help in the search for an affordable electric car, the automotive experts at Leasing Options have revealed the ten cheapest-to-run electric cars on the market.
Amongst the roster are household names such as Kia, Fiat, Hyundai and BMW.

These firms are offering electric vehicles which save the planet AND your wallet a world of harm.
For example, the Hyundai IONIQ Electric has the lowest cost per mile at 6.3p.
While the Fiat 500 (Hatch) is the cheapest and fastest EV to charge away from home.
But be warned – there is a big difference in cost when charging some electric vehicles compared to others.

Audi’s e-tron and Tesla’s Model S and X take the longest to charge and are the most expensive.
And there is a massive £17.24 difference between charging an Audi e-tron and a Fiat 500 at the services.

“Our research found that the Hyundai IONIQ Electric is the cheapest electric car to charge, costing 6.3p per mile, which is 0.5p cheaper than other electric cars on the market.
“So, for those wanting a budget friendly option for day-to-day running costs this would be the best choice.”
